Mt 14:1-12

John confronts Herod about his marriage, which leads to the prophet’s demise. His death heralds the beginning of Jesus’ ministry. Herod is made aware of Jesus’ activity in and around Nazareth, which causes him to wonder if Jesus is John returned to life.

There is always a risk in challenging one who has lost sight of the truth. I pray for the courage to lovingly confront others in the hope that they will change their way.
