Music MinistryMusic is integral to the celebration of any liturgical event. The voice of the assembly is the primary voice in any liturgy. Singing unifies and deepens, underscores and heightens our worship. Choir - Join our Choir by contacting the parish office. Choir practices Wednesday evenings at 6:00 during the school year. Praise Band - Our contemporary worship team always welcomes new members. They practice Monday nights during the school year. Contact Carrie Hiniker to join! Do you have a talent? We always welcome new musicians to fill positions as cantors, organists, pianists, and other instruments! Please call the office if you can share your talent! Would you like a say in our liturgy? The liturgical committee meets monthly to plan the music for the liturgy. Would you be interested in joining them? Call the office! Eucharistic AdorationTuesdays from 4:00 to 5:15 PM. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance. Parish Finance CouncilAdvises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets. Money CountersA group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers about once a month. Parish Pastoral CouncilThe St. Leo Pastoral Council is involved in most activities and programs affecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Leo Catholic Parish. |
Altar ServerBoys and girls from grade 5 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy. Baptism PreparationPreparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith. Eucharistic MinisterExtraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound. Ushers/GreetersParishioners who warmly welcome parishioners as they enter the Church for Mass. LectorReader who proclaims the Scriptures at Mass and other services. Liturgical Linen CleanersResponsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens. RCIARite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments. SacristanDuties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass. Homebound MinistryRotating group of volunteers that brings the Eucharist to the homebound and those in senior care centers. Contact the office for more details. CatechistsVolunteers who share our Catholic faith with the youth of our parish. Works with the Director of Faith Formation. |
